And today Ms. G had another sewing class. She learned to trace and cut the pattern. We are using the book Sewing School (http://sewingschool.blogspot.com/), and I gave her the book to browse and choose what project she'd want to work on. Despite having the opportunity to make herself a little purse, such an indispensable accessory, or a skirt for her doll among other things, she chose to make a teddy for her baby brother. She sure knows how to melt my heart!
So proud of having prepped the pattern all by herself!
E a surpresa:
And the surprise:
when I took the thrift store fabrics out of the dryer, I noticed one of the pieces was already cut to become a dress/tunic! It was going to be beautiful! Now I'm even more curious to know about the sources of those fabrics. If I had the back piece I'd stitch it up, since apparently it would fit me with minor adjustments, but since I don't, in honor of the Unknown Seamstress I pledge to use this fabric with wisdom and in good taste. ; ) How funny, but it made me think about how sometimes I might do something, or make a decision that in my own mind has no relevance to anyone else in the world but me, and it might be forgotten for a while, but then a consequence of it surfaces, and has an impact on someone. Just a thought!

This week I hope to be able to take pics of the newest projects. Just missing buttons. Until then, be well!
